Did you know OpenAir offers cost effective Sport Pilot Training?

It’s true! N6043N is a Cessna 162 Skycatcher, a light sport aircraft and we have it available at $140/hour cash or credit.

The Sport Pilot Rule was adopted primarily to give the FAA some control over the ultralight aviation community, but it has also created even more opportunities for people to realize their dream of learning to fly.

Sport Pilot training requires a minimum of 20 hours of flight training, compared to 40 hours for a Private Pilot certificate. This can dramatically reduces the cost of earning a pilot license.

No medical examination or medical certificate is required for a Sport Pilot license, provided that the candidate possesses a valid drivers’ license. (There’s a bit more to it than that, but you get the idea.)

The Sport Pilot certificate is a real, honest-to-goodness, FAA pilot certificate. Therefore, all flight hours accumulated by Sport Pilots count toward meeting applicable requirements for more advanced pilot certificates and ratings.

Please pass on to friends and family that OpenAir now offers Sport Pilot Training with the same emphasis on safety and competency as we do for all of our training.

To all of our pilot users who just want to fly something new and different, this is an extremely cost effective add on.

Give us a call or schedule online to begin your Skycatcher flight training or sign off.
